Searching for Programs

Its very simple actually:

  1. click on the "Home" link (on the top), it will take you to the main page.
  2. There is a search section on the top.
  3. Search for all programs starting on particular date by filling desired date in the 'Start Date' field date picker.
  4. Click / tap on search button.
  5. Programs list (if available) will pop up on the screen.
  6. Select suitable program.

How to Reach Ashram

Getting Here

Bengaluru city is served by all domestic airlines as well as a number of international airlines. Please check with your travel agent or contact Sumeru Travel Solutions (the ashram travel service) at +91 80 32923423 for further details.
We also have a well-developed railway system and many direct express trains from other cities in India. We advise first time travelers to India to either choose First Class or Second Class AC rail service. For further information: www indianrail.gov.in


Coming from Airport:
If you are coming by flight, you will land at Kempegowda International Airport in Bangalore – from there you can choose Bus or Taxi to reach Ashram.
Bus
Just outside Airport, you will find buses. Just go to KIAS -5. Get the exact timings of bus. The bus will take between one-two hours depending upon time of day and traffic. The fare will range between Rs. 220-Rs. 250.
The bus will drop you at JP Nagar Phase-6. After reaching there, you can walk to the next turn to Banashankari.
From Banashanakri, you can take the bus saying ‘Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram’ towards Kanakpura Road.
There are many buses on that route costing Rs.20-30 and will take 20 to 30 minutes to reach Ashram.
Airport – JP Nagar – Banashanakri – Ashram
It is advisable to not to take bus between 11 PM to 5 AM as there are no buses available at that time.
 

Taxi
Ashram has its own Travel Service for Cabs that is well connected on road. Just call : +91-9886019292 or email at taxi@sumerutravels.com
It is advisable to call or inform two hours before with the specified time. You can pay by cash directly to the driver.

 

Coming from Bangalore and Yeshwantpur  Junction

Just outside the Bangalore Junction, there is Kempegowda Bus Station or Majestic Bus Station. There are 25 direct route buses from Majestic to Banashankari. Get the exact bus timing here.

You can reach Banashanakri and then change the bus saying ‘Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram’ towards Kanakpura Road.

    • It is advisable to call or inform four hours before with the specified time. You can pay by cash directly to the driver.
    • There are four direct bus routes from Yashwantpur to Banashankari. Get the full bus timings here.
    • You can reach Banashanakri and then change the bus saying ‘Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ashram’ towards Kanakpura Road.

Volunteering At The International Center

  1. Minimum 60 days commitment to be at the ashram and do seva (Volunteering work)
  2. Must have attended at least one Art of Living Silence Course or DSN Course
  3. Art of Living Teacher's Recommendation
  4. Complete Seva Profile & Seva Application
  5. No Addiction of any kind
  6. Physically fit and good health

There are no fees / payments applicable for National (Indian) volunteers.

Just fill the form and submit the requests.

The blessers will look at your requests and bless them.

 

If you have already sent blessing request(s) earlier,

click here to see them and also the blessings  and comments it has recieved.

One has to undergo blessings program in order to become a blesser.

  4. Were you initiated as a blesser?
  5. Your UID on programs.org.in website (this website) 

NOTE: If you do not have an account first create an account by going to the login page and then create your login , verify your email id by clicking on the email received 

and after you login and complete your profile you will come to the dashboard. 
 
On top right corner of the screen you will see UID # (and some number)   … this is the number you have to send as UID
Once you have logged in to the profile that is marked as a blesser, you will be able to see a message like:

"All blessers together have given xxxxx blessings so far, you can also Give Blessings!"

you just have to click/tap on the Give Blessings link/button on that page or click here (if you are already logged in)

You will be presented with two options: To give feedback and to actually see Blessing Requests .

Once you click/tap on Blessing Requests you will be presented with requests from last 10 days.

You can choose to :
  • Bless
  • Like
  • Love
  • Comment
  • Mark As Spam
  • Chant Om Namah Shivay
  • Chant Om Namo Narayana
  • Send Best Wishes
  • Send High Five
  • Load all reactions for the requests.
React to blessings as well as other's reactions.

Q. Where will be the accommodations provided?

A. Accommodations are in separate blocks for Girls and Boys. The rooms provided are on a four-sharing basis.

 

Q. Who will take care of the children?

A. We have well trained volunteers assigned to manage and take care of the children. All teachers facilitating these programs are experienced and best performing in India.

 

Q. What kind of food will be provided?

A. The Ashram prepares satvik food for all. Junk food or fast food is prohibited.

 

Q. What is adventure camp?

A.  We have one day outdoor Activity Camp. This includes trekking, rappelling and re-creational sports like shooting, archery etc. with fun games.

 

Q. What are the safety measures for the camp?

A. It is handled by the professional adventure sports personnel.

 

Q. Will they be taken out of Ashram?

A. Yes, through Ashram buses.

 

Q. What necessary things are required for adventure camp?

A. Following items are required:

Simple comfortable clothes

Shoes

Cap

Water bottle

Swim suit (optional)

A small bag to carry all these things

 

Q. Can parents be with children?

A. No

 

Q. Can parents accompany children to adventure camp?

A. No

 

Q. Can parents call them during program?

A. Not during the program but we have specific timings scheduled, usually after dinner around 8 to 9:30 pm

 

Q. When should a participant report to ashram?

A. Wednesday is reporting latest by 9:00 pm. Progarm starts on Thursday morning.

 

Q. How do we know where should we leave our children.

A. At reception, once the registration is done, we have an orientation for the parents about the program, schedule and all other related queries of the parent. It is mandatory for the parent to attend the orientation. It is usually held in batches. Once before satsang and once after satsang.

 

Q. When can we take our children from Ashram?

A. The COJ programs ends on Monday around 6pm. You can meet your children in their respective rooms and then check out Ashram. If you have not opted for COJ and just UY/ MY1 / MY2, the program ends around 7.30 pm on Sunday. You can meet your children in their respective rooms and then check out of the Ashram.
